Thank you for reporting the issue to the City of Bridgeport. On May 13, 2022, the City of Bridgeport made it illegal for gas station owners to sell gasoline to unregistered ATVs and dirt bikes operators. This is another effort by the Police Department in trying to curb the issue of illegal ATVs and dirt bikes riders on city streets, that are disrupting traffic and pose a danger to motorists. They will continue to confiscate these bikes and appreciates tips from residents (203-576-7671) reporting where these bikes are stored. Please know that the Police Department is in collaboration with other cities/towns having the same issue with illegal bikes on their streets. The police is not allowed to engage in a pursuit with riders.
